UPI reported that South Korea will formally issue KS W 8100 on Monday, its first national performance-testing standard for counter-drone systems. The standard covers radar, radio-frequency scanners, electro-optical and infrared cameras, and electronic jammers used to protect airports, power plants, military sites, and other critical infrastructure. It evaluates detection range, detection capability, identification accuracy, and jamming effectiveness, but excludes hard-kill systems.

The Royal Navy now plans to retire its six Type 45 destroyers by the end of 2038 rather than proceed with the previously expected Type 83 replacement class.
