Brookfield Launches $600 Million India Renewable Platform image

Brookfield has launched Lumara Energy, committing about $600 million to develop renewable-energy projects in India. The platform begins with more than 6 GW of solar, wind and battery-storage projects and is designed to address delays in land acquisition, grid interconnection and power-purchase agreements. Lumara plans to advance projects with land and interconnection secured before final contracts are completed, while offering credit solutions to developers.
