Samsung Tests Heat Pumps as Apartment Boiler Alternative

Samsung Electronics is field-testing its EHS All-in-One heat pump in an apartment-like research setting in Yongin to assess whether it can replace conventional gas boilers in South Korean multi-unit housing. The trial measures heating, cooling, hot-water output, energy use, noise and usability under conditions intended to replicate apartments. The results could inform product development and wider residential electrification as South Korea seeks to expand heat-pump deployment.
