Tata Power Starts 800-MW Andhra Project

Tata Power Renewable Energy has begun an 800-MW hybrid project in Andhra Pradesh, combining 400 MW of solar generation in Kurnool district with 400 MW of wind generation in Ananthapuram district. The project is intended to connect to the national transmission network and includes a reported 200-MW firm and dispatchable renewable component for NTPC supported by battery storage. It is expected to create about 4,000 jobs and provide lease income to local landowners, while supporting the state's clean-energy expansion plans.
